      January 15, 2019 – Firm attorney Dustin Massie is set to present at the Federal Bar Association’s Rising Professionals Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 1-2, 2019. This will be Dustin's second year presenting at the Symposium.

      January 15, 2019 – Firm attorney Dustin Massie is set to present at the Federal Bar Association’s Rising Professionals Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 1-2, 2019. This conference will bring together legal practitioners from around the country to discuss ways to elevate their careers, build their lawyering skills, and learn about emerging issues in the law. This will be Dustin’s second year presenting at the Symposium.

      Dustin is an active member of the FBA’s Minnesota Chapter, co-chairing the Chapter’s Newer Lawyer Committee, volunteering with the Chapter’s Pro Se Project and serving on the FBA’s Labor & Employment Law Section’s Committee on Legislation and Congressional Relations. This year, Dustin will present on, “Medical Cannabis in the Workplace: What Protections Do Employees Have?” Dustin represented Chris Sonterre, who had suffered a traumatic brain injury, was enrolled in Minnesota’s Medical Cannabis program but denied employment by Costco Wholesale. The case was one of the first medical cannabis cases in Minnesota following enactment of the state’s Medical Cannabis Registry Program in 2017.
