Joni Thome co-presented at an all-day seminar hosted by the 2022 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute. The seminar, titled “A Practical Guide to Remote and Hybrid Workplaces”, featured presentations on remote and hybrid workplace plans from experienced employment attorneys. Joni Thome and Megan Anderson of Lathrop GP hosted a presentation titled the “Best Practices for Deciding Who Will Work Remotely”. They discussed the strategies employers can use to determine which employees should be allowed to work remotely and the importance of establishing policies to clearly set forth expectations about remote work.
Joni and Megan were also published in the First Edition of A Practical Guide to Remote and Hybrid Workplaces, a guidebook that was provided for the seminar and is available for purchase. Their chapter, titled “Who Will Work Remotely, How Often, and Who Decides”, is an in-depth review of all factors that should be considered when considering remote workplaces for employees.
